Now that I have just about everything like I wanted/needed in our kitchen, here are pics. I am obviously not a minimalist--I genetically could not be. Just wanted to share because it's colorful and cheerful to me.
I have collected cow decor for decades. My mom grew up on a farm, and I remember my grandmother’s huge farmhouse kitchen with fondness. There were ten children plus farmhands to feed, you know!
When I was little, Grandma had a wood cookstove, similar to the little black stove on my counter. She also had a butter churn, which fascinated me, along with a 50-pound flour bin in her kitchen. She made biscuits twice a day and cornbread for supper. Ah, there’s nothing like hot Southern biscuits with homemade butter and molasses!
